Changing tickets was good had to go to a pick up redemption point which was a taxi coach pick up once on coach straight there got tickets and went to birkenau first as that's is the big camp which was an eye opener but doesn't take long to get round hr and half really. Then back to Auschwitz where go to the toilets and top up drinks at vending machines as nowhere else to have food or a cafe on site. All in all very good smooth transfers would definitely go again and book through headout. Pop

I booked the tour and thought I had a round trip bus but when I was going back the bus driver said I didn't have tickets the way back and I needed to buy it.

Everything was very good. I appreciated the shuttle lift from Krackow to Auschwitz and back and the east online booking and we'll organized website. One thing that could have been better was the entry to start the tours pr self guided tours, the line for tickets seemed disorganized and felt like yours should be seperate from individual tickets. Everything else made it a good experience though.

As the largest concentration camp of Nazi Germany, Auschwitz-Birkenau offers a rich slice of World War II history. Spread over 191 hectares, the museum thrums with the tales of unthinkable horrors faced by over 1 million people who were sent here.

The self-guided tour allows you to take your time to go through the photographs, letters of the prisoners, documents, and also learn stories about the victims. The ruins of gas chambers and the crematoria serve as living proof of the carnage that once took place here.

Important Information

The pace and duration of the tours are determined by the memorial’s visitor service. Hence, pick up time/duration of the tour are subject to change.

Note: As per the requirements of Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum, all participants are required to provide their full name and contact details as part of the booking. Entry may be refused if the name provided on the booking is not identical to the name on the ID provided when entering.

As visitors will be visiting a former extermination camp, all visitors are expected to commemorate the dead and adjust their clothing and behavior to reflect the solemnness of the site.

Please note that the maximum size of bags and backpacks allowed on the museum grounds is 30 x 20 x 10 centimeters (roughly 12 x 8 x 4 inches).

Photography is allowed (no flash and tripods).
