Seeing the storefront full of women's kimonos, and having come with three men, we didn't know what to expect. There was a men's section, so we were able to choose one of the many kimonos on offer, as well as the belt. We were given a pair of samurai-type socks, which I have to admit are pretty special. A pair of flip-flops was offered before we left, but as it was raining that day, we had to take our shoes. We strolled through the heights of Kyoto, and the reactions of passers-by were of all kinds, it was a little awkward at first, but we got used to it and it was a good experience to have. Arigato gozaimasu.
