Can't tell you how many emails I received with Headout not providing the correct contact person to DHL and DHL only calling my daughter 2 times amwith attempts of delivery at our home twice. Headout- there are two contacts. Christine is the main contact and DHL boy called my daughter who is in school. DHL leaves completely blank tag with no tracking number, no contact, and no address to pick up the items myself. Headout does not contact to try to reach me except through email on June 10th and via a phone call on June 10th, which I immerdiately responded to. With no tracking number, DHL could not locate the package. I must have called a dozen times over the course of three days. When I did get in touch with DHL not thanks to Headout because they gave me the wrong number to DHL that is not in service, DHL said that they disposed of the package and the package is no longer available 2 days prior to me leaving for Japan. Then 1 day later, DHL sends the shipper that the package as delivered when there was no package delivered. Headout is absolutely no help. I have had to call and call only for them to tell they would call me back with resolution. I find out that JR Rail (shipper) has been communicating with me via Whatspapp, but I dont use Whatapp unless I travel internatiomally. I use my US cell phone and my email address. Not WhatsApp. I was able to reach JR Direcyly via Whatspp and they reissued the pass to my hotel in Japan, but it arrives the day I leave for Mt. Fuji at 12:00. I still don't know if it is going to be here at the Hotel because they tracking label does not have the Hotel name on it. It is addressed to me and the hotel's address. Only Praying that I receive the package tomorrow by noon. Otherwise, my whole trip Is ruined and Headout is the worst at communicating and using the worst shipper. Need to reconsider shipper and the partners that actually handles JR. This has been a terrible experience for us and a big inconvenience.

We are currently in Japan and the only issue we had was receiving our passes before we departed. It seems that the service was having issues with communicating back to us. But we did finally receive them before the trip.

Most Shinkansen and limited express trains offer wheelchair-accessible seats. To use these seats, reserve them at any JR ticket office (Midori-no-madoguchi). Note that if accessible seats are full, you may not be able to board your desired train.

The pass is available only for non-Japanese passport holders with a "Temporary Visitor" visa stamp.

Ticket Redemption Point

You must present your Exchange Order with your passport for the actual, physical JR Pass at any of the JR offices located in airports and main train stations, in Japan.

Your confirmation email cannot be used to redeem JR Passes

You can only redeem your own JR Pass. You cannot redeem Exchange Orders named under another person.

Exchange Orders are valid only for 90 days from the issued date. Please redeem within 90 days from the issued date.

Once redeemed, you have 30 days to activate your JR Pass and start travelling on the trains

Once activated, the JR Pass is valid only for 7, 14, or 21 consecutive days within one month.

To board a train, show it to the staff at the ticket gate.
