Very interesting tour. Our tour guide was excellent (I forget his name but he had a beard) with very good English. The tour was just the right length and full of interesting content. I imagine it must be hard talking about such depressing times on a daily basis so I appreciate the guides for the work they do. One thing though would be to have a sign outside saying Tour Meeting Point, as its very confusing at the entrance as there are so many people, and the photo sent prior is different. We went in 15 mins before and we told twice to keep waiting outside when our group had already gone in and we unfortunately missed the start of the tour. Went to the Salt Mines the next day and the signage and queuing process was seamless. Its not difficult.

Die Führung durch Oskar Schindlers Fabrik wahr sehr gut. Die Darstellung der jüdischen Geschichte in Krakau wurde von der Ausstellungsführerin sehr gut ausgeführt. Es war alles sehr informativ, aber ob der Thematik auch teilweise bedrückend. Die Ausstellung ist sehr gut gestaltet, so dass man sich wie in die schlimme Zeit zurückversetzt fühlt. Sehr gut wurde durch die Ausstellungsführerin auch der Bezug zum Film "Schindlers Liste" hergestellt. Wir haben die Ausstellung mit unserem Enkel (14) besucht und können diese weiter empfehlen. Die Größe der Gruppe hat uns nicht so gefallen, da man sich manchmal noch 1-2 Räume hinter dem aktuell erläuternden Raum befand. Man sollte die Gruppengröße ein wenig verringern.

The tour was on time and we were met in the meeting place and escorted in to the museum. The tour is 90 minutes and at times you could see that the guide was rushing through and with a few checks of his phone to see the time he was definitely keeping pace. Yes I would have loved to have more time reading each display but I wouldn't have learnt as much as I did if I visited independently. The guide was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Overall I enjoyed this experience and would book it again.

The exhibition and the guide were very informative, however, it was very difficult hearing the guide, there were too many people in the group and in parts of the exhibition it was too small for the number of people on the tour, so if you were at the back of the group you couldn't hear the guide. Headsets would have been better, so we could all hear and a reduced group. An amazing museum which did document the history of Kraków's WWll history but a struggle to follow at times.

Wir sind empfangen und eingewiesen worden. Eine Führerin vom Museum hat uns durch die Ausstellung geleitet. Wir waren sechs Personen und ohne Audioguide. Das empfanden wir als sehr angenehm. Sehr zu empfehlen da man die wichtigsten Punkte erzählt bekommt und nicht lesen und den Text (zumeist englisch oder polnisch) übersetzen muss. Wer wollte konnte am Ende nochmal durch die Ausstellung gehen und zusätzliche Fotos machen oder lesen. Sehr zu empfehlen

Wir wurden vor der Mine empfangen und eingewiesen Nach kurzer Verzögerung hat die Tour mit einem Guide des Bergwerkes begangen der Führer war toll und unterhaltsam. Rund zwei Stunden lang. Beeindruckend was alles aus Salz ist Figuren, Bilder, Fussboden und Decke Enorm was die Bergleute geschaffen haben Tour ist zu empfehlen.

Our guide was really knowledgeable and told a lot about Polish history. We even got extra time when the tour took 2 hours instead of 1.5 hours. The size of the group was suitable, not too big. We recommend this.

What to bring

Bring along comfortable walking shoes as the route has around 800 stairs.

What's not allowed

Keep in mind electric torches and cigarettes are not allowed on this experience. Pack wisely!

Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along for this experience.

Accessibility

This experience is not accessible by wheelchair. Some of the underground paths on the Tourist Route have been modified to accommodate individuals with limited mobility.

Your guide dogs are welcome at the venue.

Additional information

Facilities: restroom and lockers.

The temperature underground tends to reach 17–18°C. Dress in layers for adaptable comfort.

In exceptional cases, some of the chambers of the Tourist Route might be excluded from the guided tour.

Telecommunication signals will not reach you in the mine. However, a designated place is available to use free WiFi and make phone calls.
