** National Palace of Pena & Park **
Being a romanticist castle, The National Palace of Pena is like entering a beautiful fairy tale atop the magnificent hills of Sintra painted in yellow, purple, red, and pink colors. It is an architectural marvel and you’ll be enchanted by the stunning views of Lisbon from the second-highest vantage point on the Sintra Hills. You will come across detailed interiors influenced by Middle Eastern & baroque European cultures. The state rooms have been carefully restored to their original state as they were in 1910 to give you the real feel of the era of Romanticism. Many of the original fittings still remain in the Palace. You can end your tour by exploring the lush park of Pena, full of winding paths, pavilions, ponds, magical fountains, statues & lovely exotic plants spanning 85 hectares. You can also upgrade your ticket to include convenient round-trip transportation between the main entrance of the Park and the Palace.

The National Palace and Gardens of Queluz dates back to the 18-century and has been home to generations of Portuguese Royal Family. Bathe in the beauty and grandeur of this lavish castle as you walk its richly decorated halls & rooms. It is often referred to as “Portuguese Versailles” due to its brilliance and architectural exuberance. It is a truly breathtaking experience and you can imagine a time of regal balls and stately dinners that took place in the majestic interiors of the Palace. The Throne Room is adorned with gold carvings, ornate mirrors and large paintings, giving you a sense of how the Portuguese royals used to live back in the day.
