I loved the museum and its precious items. It has pictures of famous painters as well as items from ancient world. It's my favorite museum in Vienna.

We visited both the Kunsthistorisches Museum and the Natural History Museum, and it was a wonderful experience overall. The tickets were purchased together, which was very convenient, because we saved money. The collections in both museums were impressive, with an incredible variety of art, historical objects, and natural history exhibits. The buildings themselves are also extraordinarily beautiful and worth seeing. The only downside is that if you visit during the summer, there is no air conditioning, so it can get quite warm inside. Other than that, both museums are definitely worth visiting and I would highly recommend them!

It's one of the best museums I've ever visited, among the MET and the Great Britain museum. We especially enjoyed the sculptures and the staine ware which represent high craftsmanship. I would recommend this museum to anyone.

Getting started

The museum is located on Maria-Theresien-Platz, with the main entrance at the front of the building, facing the square, with clear signs to guide you inside. If you've selected the guided tour option, meet your English-speaking guide at the entrance at least 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time. Your guide will give a brief orientation and ensure that you're ready to bypass the queues with skip-the-line access, so you can head straight into the museum.

A world of imperial treasures & Habsburg heritage

Wander through the grand halls of the Kunsthistorisches Museum, home to celebrated Renaissance and Baroque works by Caravaggio, Titian, and Velázquez. Marvel at their stunning array of royal artifacts that showcase the wealth and power of the Habsburg dynasty. Admire beautifully crafted goldsmith work, regal jewelry, and other opulent pieces that once belonged to emperors and empresses.

The museum also boasts a renowned Egyptian collection, where mummies, sarcophagi, and sacred objects reveal the rituals, beliefs, and artistic legacy of ancient Egypt.
