From Krakow: Auschwitz-Birkenau Guided Tour with Transfers

My visit to Auschwitz was a very powerful and emotional experience that is difficult to describe in words. From the moment I entered the camp, I could feel the sadness and seriousness of the place. Seeing the buildings, photographs, personal belongings, and other objects made me understand much better the suffering that millions of people went through during the Holocaust. The guide played a very important role in making the visit meaningful. He presented everything in a clear, organized, and respectful way. He explained the historical context, the daily lives of the prisoners, the terrible conditions they had to endure, and how the camp operated. What I appreciated most was that he did not only present dates and statistics, but also shared real examples and stories, which made the information easier to understand and much more powerful. The guide was also very knowledgeable and answered questions clearly. His presentation kept the group interested throughout the entire visit and helped us understand the importance of remembering what happened there. Overall, visiting Auschwitz was emotionally difficult, but it was also an extremely important and educational experience. The excellent guide made the visit even more memorable and meaningful.

I visited Auschwitz-Birkenau, near Krakow, and I can say that everything was organized flawlessly from start to finish. The meeting point in Krakow was easy to find, and pickup by minibus happened exactly on time, with no delays. Our guide, Polina, was extraordinary. She was kind, highly professional, and extremely knowledgeable historically, managing to convey the information in a clear and respectful way, fitting for the gravity of the place. We were given all the time we needed to go through both Auschwitz I and Birkenau, without ever feeling rushed. The logistics were just as good — transportation, the audio headsets for hearing the guide, the travel time between the two sections, everything ran smoothly. We returned to Krakow exactly on schedule. I confidently recommend this experience to anyone who wants to visit this place of immense historical and emotional significance, in a well-organized setting with an outstanding guide.

Tanti si lamentano dei cambi di orario e a volte dei prelievi molto anticipati rispetto all'orario scelto in fase di prenotazione, va ricordato che il complessso di Auschwitz da conferma il giorno prima degli slot delle guide e per assurdo meglio un prelievo molto presto il mattino ed essere fra i primi ad entrare anziché far colazione con calma e fare magari ore ai controlli di sicurezza.. Io ho avuto la fortuna di entrare alle 7.30 del mattino con prelievo alle 5.40 ed entrare fra i primi gruppi nei campi ti permette di visitare tutto nel silenzio che un memoriale del genere merita di avere..

L'organizzazione è stata perfetta! Ci hanno anticipato la visita di circa un'ora e mezza, ma sapevamo che poteva succedere. Per il resto gli spostamenti in autobus e la visita sono stati organizzati egregiamente. Ad agosto c'è tantissima gente e quindi la visita si svolge un po’ velocemente. Ma la nostra guida Margherita, che parlava un italiano perfetto, ci ha accompagnato con grande professionalità, competenza e profondo rispetto. Inutile dire che la visita è stata veramente molto toccante, ci siamo commossi più volte. Vedere dal vivo quei luoghi, i capelli, le scarpe dei bambini, ti smuove qualcosa dentro, non si può spiegare. Noi ci tenevamo tanto a fare questa visita che consigliamo a tutti! Anzi dovrebbe essere obbligatoria per tutte le scuole.

The tour was brilliantly organized with clear instructions on what would happen, when and where. We were contacted the day before with detailed information about the pick up etc. They also offered a convenient option to purchase packed lunches in advance from a partner company. Transportation ran smoothly, and our guide was an absolute professional: engaging, knowledgeable and a fantastic storyteller. An excellent trip all around. I highly recommend this company! Side note: we picked the 7:30 am start time and the pick up was ~ 6:00 am from the assigned pick up spot.
