I really loved visiting the Basilica Cistern — it’s one of the most magical places in Istanbul. The underground atmosphere, soft lights, and reflections on the water make it feel mysterious and peaceful at the same time. The Medusa heads are fascinating and definitely worth seeing up close. It’s also a great spot for beautiful photos and a nice break from the heat outside. I highly recommend visiting early in the morning to avoid crowds.

We got to Andi Location very well and very quickly. Our admission and the security check took no longer than 2-3 minutes in total and to see the sunken palace. It was very interesting, informative and wonderful at the same time. It was still quite crowded, so certain photos were quite difficult to take because of the other visitors.

Great experience. Booking 'skip the line' ticket was easy and quick. No waiting in the queue - entry gained within five minutes. Really long queue to purchase at-the-door/entrance tickets, so this was awesome. What a structure and construction: The Basilica Cistern is a mind boggling construction of great ingenuity!! Really enjoyed getting the opportunity to view such an historical construction.

We rounded the corner and were dismayed to see the around the block line up to buy tickets - gah! Bit to be expected in such a tourism heavy and big city! I was with my 78 yr old dad and it was raining - Skip the line was a great way to help me and my dad avoid an hour -1.5 hour line up! We were in within 15 mins and the experience was amazing !

We weren't expecting much, but were pleasantly surprised to find such an extraordinary and unique space. Well worth it. We arrived at 8.30, got in quickly and enjoyed a leisurely visit, without too much of a crowd. Later in the day, according to the lines we saw when we came out, I expect it is very crowded. Go early.

We had limited time in Istanbul, so skipping the line and walking right in was a huge plus for us. The Basilica Cisterns are such a unique and interesting experience, well worth the time! I wish we had gotten the self guided audio tour, the signs are informative but not exhaustively so - next time we will for sure!
