Very nice place to be and relax for a while, clean changing rooms and showers, beautiful landscape... just the place to be!

The pool itself was nice but the surroundings were not as beautiful as others we saw. The check in area and locker rooms were very chaotic and took away from the peaceful spa like part of the pools. Charging nearly $10 USD for towel rental felt really u fair

I wonder if the safety of tourists and employees is really the top priority. I saw the earthquake-damaged roads on the approach, and the new temporary road right next to the new one, which still looked warm and was smoking. The volcano nearby still active. I assume it's an important source of income for the state to repair other infrastructure damage and thats why the lagoon is now open. If not, I find it criminal, and I'm just waiting for another disaster to occur in this now-active area.

So quiet and peaceful, I'd revisit Secret Lagoon any time. Staff persons were welcoming, and everything super clean. The lagoon was picturesque. The bottom of the largest pool was smooth pebble and felt good on tired feet.

The Secret Lagoon is just an hour away from Geysir, 1 hour and 20 minutes from Reykjavik, and 2 hours from Vik, making it a great destination on your trip to Iceland. Enjoy Iceland’s natural beauty while dipping into its sulfur-rich pool for a relaxing experience with friends and family.
What to expect
Geothermal pool area
There are several springs around this area and a walking path around the pool, designed with railings and cobbled pathways to help you watch the boiling springs come up from underneath safely.
Natural geysers
Vaðmálahver, Básahver, and Litli Geysir are the three hot springs that bubble the hot water from deep within the earth, offering a steady supply of fresh, clean water in the pool at any given time, allowing you to relax as long as you need.
Scenic views
Hveraholmi is a rugged terrain often contrasted with lush green moss, vibrant mineral deposits, and steaming hot springs.
Facilities
Dedicated shower areas for men and women in classic Icelandic style. Changing rooms, rental swimsuits and towels, and restrooms are an added advantage to your experience. There is also a Bistro offering snacks and drinks at an additional cost.
