Learning about the history of this beautiful place was amazing! We opted not to use the headphones, as we felt they were a bit cumbersome and left my spouse and I feeling disconnected from one another. We liked being able to chat about what we were seeing and reading about on the signs. The building and grounds were absolutely lovely inside and out!

    It was wonderful to discover the residence where Mary, Queen of Scots, once lived. The ruined abbey and the beautiful gardens surrounding this palace are steeped in so much history—it’s hard to imagine! It’s a must-see if you’re visiting Edinburgh.
