Ticketing experience worked well although signage at the entrance wasn't particularly clear. €10 guide was confusing and didn't cover some important buildings. A paper map, with highlights, would have been useful. Museum was good. Refreshment facilities poor.

Really enjoyed it all - much quieter than pompeii and more easy to see in our opinion. Great views from the ticket office area. Very easy ticketing experience online. Helpful staff at the venue. No queues on the day when we went so cannot comment on the skip the queue experience. Not absolutely clear direction where to get the paper tickets from or if this would have been possible with queues. Snack site was good views and comfortable seating though maybe a cafe would be nice? Audio was a bit confusing at times as not sure which entrance we were using sometimes. Shame that we couldn't see some rooms as they were roped off (due to off-season - lack of staff to man the buildings?) - but still a very good experience.

Everything went very well. The aidioguide helps you get into the mood of the time and understand why Herculaneum is better preserved than Pompeii. The tour is fabulous. The queue cutter wasn't essential at the time we visited, which wasn't very high season... there weren't that many visitors, so it was even more realistic.

The audio guide is sufficiently useless. Very little information and, above all, a "narrative" coupled with a clear path would be much more interesting. One runs the risk of continuing to stop and look for the track number.

Very interesting visit We visited the site at the end of July and there were only a few of us there, which was very pleasant.
