    Arrive near the Wailua River, receive a shell lei, and explore the 30-acre gardens on a narrated tram tour or self-guided walk (last tram departs at 5:30pm/5:15pm seasonally).

    2. 6pm (5:45pm from November–February): Imu Ceremony

    3. 6:15pm (6:00pm from November–February): Live Music and Entertainment

    4. 6:30pm (6:15pm from November–February): Luau Feast

  • What to bring

    • Bring a valid government-issued photo ID if you plan to consume alcoholic beverages during the event.

    • Carry a light jacket, sweater, or hoodie, as outdoor evening temperatures can be cool.

    • Bring a credit card to pay the Wailua River State Park entrance fee ($5 per person, free for children aged 3 and under) and the $10 per vehicle parking fee, as these charges are not included with your ticket.

    • Hawaiʻi residents should bring a valid Hawaiʻi State ID or driver's license to receive complimentary park entry.

    Accessibility

    • The Smith's Family Garden Lūʻau is wheelchair and ADA accessible, with accessible pathways, restrooms, and amphitheater seating.

    • Accessible vehicle reservations must be requested at least 48 hours in advance if transportation assistance is required.

    • Electric wheelchairs and mobility scooters are permitted if the combined weight of the guest and device does not exceed 500 lbs (226.5 kg) and the maximum width is 29 inches (73.5 cm).

    • The experience is suitable for guests of all ages, including children.

    Additional information

    • Arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled start time to allow enough time for check-in.

    • Park entrance and parking fees must be paid separately to the State by credit card upon arrival and are not included in your lūʻau ticket.

    • Show-only tickets do not include dinner, drinks, or the garden tram tour.

    • Activity schedules, menus, and event timing may change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, with events beginning 15 minutes earlier from November through February.

    • No refunds are provided for missed pick-ups resulting from cruise ship docking delays or arrival issues.
