As you set off on your tour, get ready to discover the secrets of salt production in the eastern Algarve. The salt pans are stunning, with the natural beauty of the Ria Formosa estuary providing the perfect backdrop. Learn about the history of salt production in the area, and how the salt pans have been used for generations. Next, head to the vibrant Olhão Market, where you will be greeted by the hustle and bustle of locals buying and selling fresh fish. The market is a feast for the senses, with the sights and smells of fresh seafood filling the air. You will have the opportunity to explore the market at your own pace, taking in the colorful displays of fish and shellfish.

After your visit to the market, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. The fish is incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection. It will be the perfect way to recharge your batteries before continuing your tour. Your next stop will be the small fishing village of Santa Luzia, where you will see the ingenious pots used to catch octopus. It will be fascinating to learn about this traditional method of fishing and the ingenuity of the local fishermen.

The final stop will be the beautiful town of Tavira. Wander through the streets, taking in the sights of the Arab fortress and the Roman Bridge, dating back to the IV century. You will visit several of the town's 22 churches, each with its own unique character and history.

Pickups for the tour are available only for areas in Olhos de Água, Albufeira, Praia da Galé, Armação de Pêra, Carvoeiro, Praia da Rocha, Portimão, and Alvor.

For a comfortable experience, wear breathable clothes meant for movement, and walking shoes.

Bring along your sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen, water, and snacks if you like for the experience.
