The guide was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and well-versed in the subject matter, but due to the extreme heat, she shortened the tour, rattling off an incredible amount of information that we unfortunately didn't have time to take in. It was a wonderful tour, but it went by too fast.

Leave pets (except guide dogs), strollers, large bags, backpacks over 40 x 30 x 10 cm, umbrellas, drones, sharp metallic objects, alcohol, and motorized vehicles behind—they aren’t allowed inside. You can check bulky items in the free cloakroom at the entrance.

Eating and smoking are prohibited inside the palace.

Flash photography is forbidden inside, and the dress code requires appropriate attire (no skimpy or indecent clothing).

The Royal Palace of Caserta is closed on Tuesdays, New Year’s Day (January 1), and Christmas Day (December 25).

If you're traveling from Naples, check train schedules in advance for a timely trip, as the train from Naples to Caserta takes about 40 minutes, followed by a 5-10 minute walk to the palace.
