Walk to Tenryu-ji, a Zen Buddhism temple, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the temple's Japanese garden with pine trees and a promenade surrounding the central Sōgen Pond. Head to the Sagano bamboo grove and walk through a surreal jade-green forest lined with bamboo stalks.

Continue onto the Jojakko-ji temple, a 16th-century Nichiren sect temple located on the slopes of Mt. Ogura, with a 12-meter tall pagoda.
