Lets get the good things out in the open. Tickets worked perfectly and the BEST time to go is before the hordes are taken through in waves by flag waving guides. The building is futistic and modern but the staircase is pretty inaccessible to the infirm and many of the statues are not named. There is plenty of space around each exhibit. The boat reconstruction was probably the most interesting. And the bad.... well, terrible signage with far too many assumptions. There is no clear flow of time and little or no information on how, when or where exhibits were found. The moving staircase is horrid with sudden change to elevation, particularly on down sections. The shop is poor value with ghastly, tacky souvenirs and overpriced books Would I visit again? Yes, again first thing. Would I engage a guide? No. Totally unnecessary for anyone with an interest in history. Save your money for a guide to the Pyramids and choose as small a group as possible

I have enjoyed a lot the Crystal Nile Cruise trip as it was well organised and easy steps to follow . I loved the entertainment program and the variety of culture and musical/dances that envolved the audiences. Food was really delicious, clean and fits many different styles. The cruise was a fun time. The food was good, and the optional wine, beer, and cocktails were very good. Service was prompt and attentive. The city views from the river at night are beautiful. The entertainment is lively and the guests really enjoy it. Highly recommended.

Pharaoh-worthy excellence. Welcomed in front of the 6-meter-high statue, I completed the museum tour in 1.5 hours, being disabled due to a stroke. Taxis and Ubers are right in front of the museum. Arrive at opening time for much fewer groups.

To participate in the Discovery Challenge, participants must have a smartphone to play. Children under 12 years need to be accompanied by a guest above 16 years.

The Discovery Challenge takes place daily at 12pm, 2pm, and 4pm, with an additional slot on Saturdays and Wednesdays at 6pm. The starting point is at the information desk in the Grand Hall.
