This was not a skip the line ticket. We had to say to get in. We paid for the guide. Nice guide. Good explanations. The line to get into the Duomo was a bit long.

The tour guide was excellent. She’s from Florence and has a deep passion for her work. We were able to better understand the significance of the Duomo, how the cathedral evolved over the 600 years it took to build, and the application of mathematics in its construction 👏🏻👏🏻

Enter the famous Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral and soak in the beauty of its 13th-century Gothic architecture.

Admire its iconic walls and artwork up-close as your expert guide tells you fascinating tales, anecdotes, and more. Try the audio guide app for further insights to Duomo Complex.

Watch out for Brunelleschi’s dome, and the enormous fresco under it painted by Giorgio Vasari and Federico Zuccari — The Last Judgement.

Fun fact: Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral features two domes. One on the outside and one on the inside, made of marble and sandstone with narrow stairs connecting the two.

I was the only person on the tour. Sabrina was great, and knowledgeable. I found the meeting point was met my someone who knew what she was doing.
