With this ticket, you get to eat, train and fight like a professional sumo wrestler. Interact with veteran sumo wrestlers and learn about their lives, their strict rituals and the sport itself. While you’re at it, don’t miss out on the opportunity to get inside the ring and challenge one of them if you so dare!

After your fight, reward yourself with a delicious meal of Chankonabe, which features in most sumo wrestlers’ diets. The dish includes a hearty bowl of rice, Miso soup and salad among other things - a perfect way to complete your experience!

Important Information

  • Infants must sit on laps
  • If you have any specific dietary requirements, please mention them at the time of booking
  • You can bring your own food or drink
  • The floor is lined with tatami mats, but if you’d like to sit on chairs, that option is available too
  • Make sure to act with good judgment and consideration. If you make any trouble, you might be asked to leave the hall (no refunds)
  • This tour is held in Asakusa on Monday (lunch and dinner), and Ryogoku on Thursday (lunch). Please check the details before you book your experience
  • Your voucher will be emailed to you shortly.
  • Please display this mobile voucher along with a valid photo ID at the meeting points
  • If you have purchased reduced-price tickets, please carry your valid photo ID proof for verification. Students must show their valid student IDs.
  • Kindly ensure that you arrive 10-15 minutes before the start time of your tour to avoid any delays

Monday (lunch/dinner)

  • Your meeting point on Monday is the restaurant Tonteki Genki Asakusa Chanko-ba (2-27-10 Nishiasakusa, Taito-ku, Tokyo)
  • Make sure to reach at 11:45 AM if you have chosen lunch (Program starts at 12 PM)
  • For dinner, arrive at the restaurant by 5:15 PM (Program starts at 5:30 PM)
  • Head to the 2nd floor and tell your name at the reception

Thursday (lunch)

  • Your meeting point on Thursday is the restaurant Yukidaruma Ryogoku-beya (3-24-1, Ryogkoku, Sumida-Ku, Tokyo)
  • The program starts at 12:00PM. Make sure to reach by 11:45 AM

Getting There

Tonteki Genki Asakusa Chanko-ba

  • The meeting point is a 1-minute walk from Asakusa Station Tsukuba Express Line exit 3
  • From the Asakusa Station Ginza-line exit 1, it is a 10-minute walk to the meeting point
  • If you are taking the Tawaramachi Station Ginza-line exit 3, it is an 8-minute walk to the meeting point
  • Go outside from Tsukuba express Asakusa station exit 3, turn right and cross the intersection. There is a restaurant on the ground floor after you cross the street with a picture of a gray pig
  • Alternatively, from Kaminarimon gate (facing at the gate), go towards left for about 400m. Turn right on the arcade with an arched gate and walk another 300m. There is a Don Quijote discount store. Turn left in front of the store and cross the crossing. The restaurant will be on your left

Yukidaruma Ryogoku-beya

  • The meeting point is a 1-minute walk from the JR line Ryogoku station, east exit
  • From Oedo line subway in Ryogoku station, it is an 8-minute walk to the meeting point
  • To get here, exit from JR line Ryogokoku station east exit and go straight to the path next to the ticket store (Tickety)
  • Enter the Yokodunadori street and find a small gate
  • Keep walking until you see the attached photo, and once you arrive, please go up to the 3rd floor
