I took the tour of Prague Castle that departs from Charles Bridge—which lasts about four hours—and I can say without hesitation that it was one of the most wonderful experiences of my stay in the city. Our guide, Alena, spoke excellent Italian and was truly extraordinary. In addition to her deep knowledge of history and art, she managed to make every explanation engaging, weaving together historical facts, interesting tidbits, anecdotes, and Prague’s fascinating legends. Her storytelling was lively, entertaining, and never boring—she kept the group’s attention from start to finish. The tour was very well organized and allowed us to admire some of the city’s most iconic sites, helping us understand not only their beauty but also their historical and cultural significance. Thanks to Alena’s explanations, every monument came to life, and every corner of Prague seemed to tell a story. I also appreciated how willing the guide was to answer all our questions, always with a smile and great passion. It’s clear that she loves her job and her city, and this enthusiasm rubs off on everyone on the tour. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get to know Prague in depth but in a fun way. The four hours flew by, and by the end of the tour, I felt like I’d discovered so much more than I ever could have by visiting the Castle on my own. This tour of Prague Castle also includes a walk across the Charles Bridge, and it was a wonderful experience for me thanks to the guide, who explained everything about the bridge and the castle’s exterior and interior in a precise and detailed manner. The tour proved to be of great cultural significance and of great historical and political interest. I still remember most of the information the guide shared with me in great detail, thanks to the clarity of the content and because he speaks Italian very fluently and correctly, even though his native language is Czech. I also appreciated the tour because of the punctuality of the guide and the team, as well as the professionalism and kindness with which I was treated. I highly recommend this tour—not only for the reasons mentioned so far, but also for the beauty of the sites and because the castle is a grand architectural complex that features a layering of styles, making it one-of-a-kind, splendid, and a must-see for anyone visiting the city. The tour was fantastic! Even with an intense heatwave, our guide, Peter, managed to make the visit both incredibly fun and extremely informative. There wasn’t a single dull or slow moment. Another really interesting detail was that this same Peter was one of the guides who toured Prague with Dan Brown while he was writing Secret of Secrets. As for the company itself, I also really appreciated the fact that they took the time to contact us to confirm whether we were still coming, since it was getting close to the start time and we still hadn’t reached the meeting point.

What I liked best were the cathedral and its beautiful stained-glass windows. The castle is huge, but only a small part of it is open to the public. The tour was very interesting, and our guide was very knowledgeable about history, though after an hour or two it started to get a bit tiring.
