As we looked up towards the Acropolis and noticed the number of people heading there I decided to book tickets online with Headout. I've used them before with great success. When we reached the entrance there was no waiting in line in the sun! The juxtaposition of the medieval Knights of St. John Fortress wrapping the ancient Temple of Athena Lindia is stunning. The views of whitewashed Lindos below are spectacular. Don't miss the ancient warship (trireme) carved into the rock near the staircase entrance!

The staff at the Acropolis told us that there was no audio guide on-site! We paid to use an audio guide and we didn't get this service.
