We were fortunate enough to visit the Acropolis of Lindos during our stay in Rhodes, and we absolutely loved the experience! It is a magnificent place steeped in history that is well worth the detour. As soon as we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty of the site, the ancient ruins, and above all, the exceptional view of the Aegean Sea and the small coves with turquoise water. The panorama is simply incredible and makes for great photos. The climb takes a bit of effort, but it is truly worth it once you reach the top. You discover an awe-inspiring site where history, ancient architecture, and Mediterranean landscapes come together. It is wonderful to wander among the ruins and imagine what life was like back then. The contrast between the ancient stones, the deep blue sea, and the whitewashed village of Lindos makes the place even more extraordinary. We also thoroughly enjoyed the charm of the village of Lindos, with its narrow white alleys, little shops, and typically Greek atmosphere. A visit to the Acropolis can easily be paired with a stroll through the village, allowing you to make the most of this stunning destination. We wholeheartedly recommend this visit to anyone traveling to Rhodes. Whether you are a history buff, a lover of scenic views, or simply looking for a must-see spot on your vacation, the Acropolis of Lindos is a true gem. We left with wonderful memories and highly recommend this experience to all travelers!

Getting transport from Rhodes Old Town to Lindos was extremely convenient. Recommend that you buy tickets online to avoid what will be long lines at the acropolis. Also, during the summer months try to arrive prior to 10am or after 3pm.

As we looked up towards the Acropolis and noticed the number of people heading there I decided to book tickets online with Headout. I've used them before with great success. When we reached the entrance there was no waiting in line in the sun! The juxtaposition of the medieval Knights of St. John Fortress wrapping the ancient Temple of Athena Lindia is stunning. The views of whitewashed Lindos below are spectacular. Don't miss the ancient warship (trireme) carved into the rock near the staircase entrance!
