CoupleVerified bookingYesterday5/5Great experience to discover the Douro Valley Overall, the experience on the "Tour clásico guiado por el valle del Duero con crucero de 1 hora por Pinhão, almuerzo tradicional y degustaciones de vino" was completely worth it. The transportation was top-notch. The road has quite a few curves, but our driver, Thiago, showed great professionalism and handled every stretch with absolute poise, making us feel very at ease throughout the trip. On the other hand, our guide, Miguel, was extraordinary: extremely friendly and with an encyclopedic knowledge of the region and its wines, sharing fascinating facts and stories with us throughout the day. As for the activities on the itinerary: Winery visits and tastings: They were quite well organized. Although the service felt a bit impersonal and rushed at times due to the flow of visitors, the quality of the wines made up for the haste. Lunch: The food itself left something to be desired, as both the fish and the pork loin turned out to be quite dry and of low quality. However, they more than made up for it with the drinks: they were extremely generous, serving both white and red wine in great abundance during the meal. Boat ride: The one-hour cruise from Pinhão offered a beautiful panoramic view of the vineyards and the river. In conclusion, the value for money is unbeatable considering everything the package includes. Trying to do this same tour on your own would not only have been more expensive, but would also have added the stress of driving and coordinating all the visits. Highly recommended.ZZeynep C
CoupleVerified booking4 days ago4/5First of all, as you see in the attached photo, pick up and drop off points are given mistakenly. We almost missed the tour! Thanks to our guide Raquel who waited for us to arrive at the actual meeting point Largo de Lapa after several conversations. The tour overall was nice, though. We didn't like the lunch, it was less than expected. Vineyards are beatiful especially from the boat tour. We had a bad experience at the Maroccos vineyard where the elderly owner talked too much and out of context (while under the hot sun), and later unbelievably got extremely angry with his coworker and fired him in front of us. That is absolutely unprofessional. I recommend to cancel your collaboration with him, there are lots of other options.RRobert W
CoupleVerified booking2 weeks ago5/5Strongly recommend. Our guide was Milena, the best guide ever and sweetest and most helpful person. During trip she made sure to tell us everything that was outside the private mini bus window. We really connected with all people on tour thanks to her. Then we visited the first winery and had a great tour there before first tasting. Then was lunch which was 2 course meal and dessert with unlimited wine refills for an hour included in price! Then we had some time to ourselves right before going to a viewpoint, before second winary. There, a 15 minute introduction to the wines we were about to consume and after an hour long boat trip with even more wine or champagne. Must do when in Porto and make sure u ask for Milena!TTimo G
CoupleVerified bookingLast week4/5Alex and Ricardo made the trip special. The atmosphere was great, and they really took good care of us. However, the value for the price could be better. Lunch was okay but not great, and there were no snacks served with the wine tasting. The photos suggest a walk through a vineyard, which didn't happen either.SSanjyot M
CoupleVerified bookingAug 20264/5Tour was worth the money spent! Good value, meeting. point was far from city center so getting to and back was difficult. A hotel pick up would have been nice. Hard to find tour as no guide name was given. Wine tours were good however lunch was sub par. Would have preferred lunch with a view of vineyards. Loved the price of the tour
