We chose to go up at dusk. While we were waiting, the guide told us interesting facts about the Eiffel Tower and Paris. We went up at dusk—it was simply perfect. We took pictures of the city lights from the 2nd and 1st levels. From the bottom, we could also see the lights of the Eiffel Tower. It was simply amazing!

We loved our Eiffel Tower climbing tour with host JD. He was fun and did an amazing job entertaining us through 1,5 hour of queeing. The meeting point was a bit confusing due to 2 addresses on the Where to Go information - but we came in good time ahead and found fellow tour tour- tourists. The Eiffel Tower area was a gem. Loved everything about it. Deeply fascinating - and as we climbed the stairs the Sun started shining. Epic.

The tour itself was very entertaining and interesting. Unfortunately, we had to wait in line for a very long time. (The tour guide didn't buy the tickets until after we arrived, so we had to wait in the regular line.) All in all, the whole thing took just under 4 hours (2–2.5 hours waiting in line, 1.5 hours for the guided tour).

Charles was a great guide!! Very insightful and lots of great stories to ensure everyone learnt a lot about the history of the Eiffel Tower. Our "guide" was very friendly and made the long wait bearable. I found the booking process beforehand to be rather unclear. Nowhere was it mentioned that the guide would be speaking English (which wasn't great for our kids, who only speak French or German) It wasn’t clearly explained what the guide’s role would entail (basically, more of a hostess to help keep people occupied while they waited and direct visitors to the first floor). The content of the guide’s explanations was okay but nothing to write home about… I would have liked more technical details about the construction of the Eiffel Tower, anecdotes, etc.

Basically, you buy a package that includes a ticket and a guide, although you still have to wait in line to pick up your ticket (at least an hour). The guide, Melanie, is very knowledgeable and kind. Overall, the organization wasn't great, since after walking up to the first floor, we lost sight of the guide and had to continue on our own. Their organization definitely needs to be reviewed; it’s not the guide’s fault, as she had to keep track of 20 people anyway.

I thought we’d skip the line, but we ended up waiting in line for over two hours. I thought the guide would stay with us for the entire tour, but they only accompanied us to the first floor. The ticket is too expensive compared to the regular price you pay at the entrance. The service isn’t worth the price.

Keep in mind that smoking, large luggage, non-folding buggies/prams, big bags, baby strollers, rollerblades, scooters, skateboards, hoverboards, other large rolling objects (except foldable pushchairs, medical or assistance vehicles for persons with reduced mobility), sharp objects, glass bottles, padlocks, and cans are not allowed on this experience.

The summit is not wheelchair and pram/stroller accessible.

Additional information

This tour doesn’t include skipping the line. Your guide will purchase the tickets for you after you arrive. The wait time to purchase tickets can be up to 2 hours, but rest assured that your guide will keep you entertained and provide insightful information about the Eiffel Tower while you wait.

It is recommend allowing extra time before your next activity to ensure you make the most of your Eiffel Tower experience.

Please note you will not be able to purchase tickets to the summit on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower. If you wish to visit the summit, purchase these tickets before your visit.

As per Eiffel Tower rules, if you upgrade your tour to include the summit, you'll need to visit the summit right after the guided tour ends. Afterward, feel free to explore the other 2 floors on your way down. The first level of the Eiffel Tower has more exhibits, a glass floor, and occasional pop-ups.

The summit of the Eiffel Tower is subject to closures or limited availability due to technical or crowd-related reasons. In case of unplanned closure, a partial refund for the difference between the 2nd and top floor ticket will be provided.

This is an English-guided tour. Some guides may also speak additional languages, primarily French or Spanish, and may offer extra assistance when possible, though this cannot be guaranteed.
