Very well organised, great value tour. The port tastings were wonderful and the lunch provided was unexpectedly good, providing meat, fish and vegetarian choices. The unlimited wine with lunch was a real treat too! The boat cruise was lovely and a great way to appreciate the beauty of the Douro valley. Our guide Luis was really entertaining, engaging and informative and our driver Victor (I think) was safe and steady. I highly recommend this tour. It was a definite highlight of our trip!

Overall, we really enjoyed the Douro tour, and it’s a beautiful region that’s well worth visiting. The scenery during the boat cruise was absolutely stunning. We did have slightly different expectations, as we thought the boat cruise would be the main part of the experience. It would have been great if the guide had shared commentary during the cruise, as hearing more about the history and surrounding vineyards while on the river would have made it even more memorable. A special mention to our guide, Milena, who was incredibly friendly, charismatic, and kept the atmosphere fun throughout the day. Our driver, Jose, did an excellent job navigating the narrow mountain roads—they made a fantastic team. The port wine tasting was one of the highlights of the trip. The venue was lovely, and the tasting itself was very enjoyable and well presented. The only part that didn’t quite meet our expectations was the lunch. The food was fairly average, and we had expected to dine with views over the vineyards, so the setting was a little disappointing compared with the rest of the experience. Despite those points, we had a wonderful day and would still recommend this tour to anyone wanting to experience the beauty of the Douro Valley. Thank you for a memorable trip!

This Douro Valley wine tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Porto. We learned so much about the history, traditions, and hard work behind the wines and ports of the Douro Valley. The lunch was absolutely delicious and prepared in a traditional Portuguese style over an open fire, which made the experience even more special. Our guide Manuela was absolutely brilliant! She was very friendly and knowledgeable, providing lots of interesting information and answering all our questions. Our bus had a slight malfunction, but she and the driver Irene did a great job of keeping us still on track and where we needed to be. The views on the trip were stunning and the port was of course delicious! Overall it was a brilliant experience and a great way to see the Douro valley.
