Jun 20265/5Went with my cousin for the desert safari—literally the most exhilarating ride ever, like a rollercoaster but with sand everywhere. Our guide Faisal seriously knew what he was doing, felt totally safe even when the 4x4 was tilted at WILD angles. Sunset was just unreal, the colors kept changing. Did the camel ride too (honestly, a bit bumpy but funny). They gave us cold water…needed that, desert is HOT. Kinda wished the camp food had more veggie stuff, but everything else was just cooool. 10/10 would do again.Jun 20265/5If you're thinking about it, just go! We took our two kids (ages 8 and 11) and they absolutely loved sliding down the dunes. Our guide, Bilal, made them laugh the whole time. The camel ride was short but cute, and you can’t take pics while riding (they said for safety, which makes sense). Food was fresh, and my wife is gluten-free—they had options! Would recommend for families.Jun 20264/5Booked as a couple and had a pretty solid time. Dune bashing was the highlight, but it did get a little crowded at the photo stop so we skipped part of it. Our driver (Ahmed) was super chill, shared stories about growing up in Qatar. Only minus—wait time at the camp for dinner, bit long. Otherwise, the stars at night were EPIC!May 20265/5Family of four—kids still talking about it. Our guide, Maan, made us feel like VIPs. We loved the traditional tea at the camp and took so many sunset pics (they came out amazing, even without filters). Toilets were clean btw, which I wasn’t expecting for the desert. Only wish the camel ride was longer.May 20264/5Went for my birthday, loved most of it. My boyfriend got a bit carsick on the dunes (so maybe skip breakfast next time lol). The guide was super helpful and let us stop for photos whenever we wanted. The show at the camp was fun but kinda short. Would do again, just maybe less dune bashing for us.

Getting started
Hotel pickup or meet at National Museum metro station. Arrive 10 minutes early. The drive south to Mesaieed takes 45 minutes. Your driver briefs you on the day's activities during the ride.
Dune bashing
Enter the dunes near Sealine Beach. Your Land Cruiser climbs 40-meter faces and descends steep slopes for 30 minutes. Tell your driver if you want gentler intensity—most accommodate requests.
Sandboarding
Stop at a tall dune for sandboarding. Boards are provided. Guides demonstrate technique: feet shoulder-width, knees bent, lean back slightly. Climb back up between runs—no lift. This segment lasts 30 minutes.
Khor Al Adaid (Inland Sea)
Drive to Khor Al Adaid, where the Arabian Gulf extends 10km inland between dunes. This UNESCO reserve is one of only three places on Earth where sea meets desert directly. Photo stop lasts 15 minutes. Wade into shallow water or climb dunes for views.
Camel rides
Return to camp for 10-minute camel rides. Handlers lead each camel on a controlled circuit. Camels kneel for mounting and dismounting. Not recommended for pregnant guests or those with back/neck injuries. Handlers manage photo opportunities efficiently.
Quad biking
Move to the quad bike circuit. Instructors provide helmets, goggles, and a safety briefing covering throttle control, braking, and turning. Designated track covers flat sand and gentle slopes—suitable for beginners. Ride lasts 30 minutes. Quads are automatic transmission. Minimum age typically 16 years; confirm with operator.
Tea break
Return to the camp area for local tea before the drive back to Doha.
Wrapping up
Return drive to Doha takes 50 minutes. Total tour time: 5-5.5 hours including all activities.
