Wir haben sowohl das Pantheon als auch die Engelsburg besucht und waren insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Beim Pantheon mussten wir uns trotz „Fast Line“-Tickets in eine längere Schlange einreihen. Anfangs dachten wir schon, dass wir Stunden warten müssten – doch tatsächlich waren wir nach nur etwa 10 Minuten im Inneren. Der Besuch selbst war absolut lohnenswert, die Atmosphäre und die Architektur sind beeindruckend. Der Einlass bei der Engelsburg war dagegen völlig unkompliziert. Alles ging sehr schnell und reibungslos, sodass wir sofort mit der Besichtigung starten konnten. Auch hier hat uns die Kombination aus Geschichte, Aussicht und eindrucksvoller Bauweise begeistert. Wir können beide Attraktionen nur wärmstens empfehlen – ein Muss für jeden Rom-Besuch!

Toller Tagesausflug in den Zoo. Wir waren etwa dreieinhalb bis vier Stunden dort. Wir haben uns die Zeit genommen, um herumzuwandern und alles zu sehen, was es zu sehen gab. Wir waren dankbar, dass es viele schattige Plätze gab und dass es auch einige Automaten gab, die kalte Getränke und Snacks verkauften, falls man welche kaufen wollte.

Es erinnerte mich an meine Kindheit. Alles war perfekt, auch wenn die Tiere in den Käfigen eine gewisse Traurigkeit mit sich brachten. Ich war beeindruckt von den Augen eines Affen, die zu sagen schienen: Schau, wo sind sie? Solange sie gut und mit Liebe behandelt werden!

Die Sehenswürdigkeiten sind wunderschön und der Kauf des Pakets hat sich gelohnt, aber ich musste feststellen, dass das Ticket entgegen den Angaben auf der Website keinen Führer für die Engelsburg enthielt. Ich beschwerte mich und die Antwort war Schweigen. Am Pantheon fragte ich nach dem Audioguide, und es stellte sich heraus, dass der Audioguide eine App war. Das hat mir nicht gefallen.

Der Besuch der Engelsburg und des Pantheons in Rom, ihre reiche Geschichte, die Gemälde und andere Kunstwerke haben mir sehr gut gefallen. Die Kunstwerke sehen so makellos aus, wenn man ihr Alter bedenkt.

Rome Bioparco

The zoological garden was founded in 1911 and has since evolved into a park that focuses on conservation, educational programs, and animal-friendly enclosures. It is home to a nearly 1,200-strong family of wildlife from about 200 different species of mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians!

Say hello to the big and small animals from every continent around the globe, as you walk through the lush botanical surroundings. Find out what dangers threaten their habitats and food chain, and how you can help save them from extinction. Kids will especially enjoy spotting the hippos, giraffes, tigers, bears, leopards, snakes, birds, and more!

Castel Sant' Angelo

Initially built in the year 185 as a mausoleum for the Roman Emperor Hadrian, Castel Sant’ Angelo served as a military building and a place of refuge for popes during the sieges in 1527. Explore the castle, which now as a museum, and gain an in-depth understanding of Roman history and architecture! Split into five floors that connected by a spiral ramp, you will have access to the chamber of ashes, and the cells in which many historical figures were incarcerated.

As you move towards the upper part of the castle, you will also see beautifully decorated rooms that acted as a Papal residence and an extensive collection of ancient weapons. Check out the large terrace on the top floor, where you can wrap up your experience with stunning, panoramic views of Rome.
