From being warmly welcomed by our amazing guide, Martin D and crew, to seeing the Kelpies against icy blue skies, our tour started in the best way possible. With amazing snow capped mountains, stunning landscapes stretched out with gaelic music as the soundtrack to our adventure, we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day to have our tour to Loch Lomond which, as promised, was a spectacle to behold. Although icy cold, it was well worth the shivers when tucked inside our lovely relaxing cruise enjoying a warm cup of tea. Aberfoyle was a diamond we didn't expect after our cruise, a great little village to break up the drive to Sterling Castle with quirky gift shops and scottish charm. We then headed off to Sterling Castle which we very luckily got to admire and explore with the setting sun. Golden light, snowy mountains and a view in every direction, we weren't disappointed. On the way home, Martin D showed us the beauty of the three bridges before we made our way back into Edinburgh. What a day to remember and Martin D got use there with tons of knowledgeable tidbits and lovely music to fill in the space.
