It was great at the Acropolis. Actually being in a place you've only seen in history books was wonderful. Get there as early as possible to get good pictures, otherwise 100 strangers will be in the picture with you. Well worth the cost. The audio guide worked perfectly, telling us about each site as we approached. You can get some great photos if you go the the tomb of Philopappo also. The tomb is a good climb but pictures are amazing.

I thoroughly enjoyed our trilingual guide, as he was so entertaining flipping between English, French and Greek as he told us about the Temple of Poseidon, and suggested how we visit the area around it to get the best experience for our large group. While there were a lot of people around the temple, it never felt overwhelming or like it was too much, which was such a delightful surprise for such a big tourist site.

Having the opportunity to see ( and read ) about something / someplace so old is hard to put into words. It's historical value, the marble, the amazement of construction of these buildings - truly hard to put into words. The beauty of the view - being able to see the city below and the sea beyond is not only amazing but thinking of its geographical location back in the day is powerful.

The tour took us through Athens and explained the different areas and provided information about the history Because the bus seats are higher, there is a much better view than one would have in a car or taxi. The Temple of Poseidon was interesting and on a clear day, the sunset would be incredible! The tour guides were engaging and very friendly. Thank you!

Wonderful experience. Quick entry to the Acropolis of Athens, and the clear, precise audio guide made our visit much more interesting. We entered at 5 PM and stayed until sunset: SPECTACULAR. The audio guide for the Plaka neighborhood was also great.

Wonderful sites, whether it's the Acropolis or the modern museum. What ruined the experience for me was the audio guide: it had a lot of bugs, disconnected regularly, was made by AI with rough sentence syntax, and above all, it was a major battery drain. Magnificent view of the city from the Acropolis. Magnificent ruins at the modern museum. Be careful if you want to visit the baths: doors close half an hour before the museum closes.

Explore the Acropolis during the day, then head to Cape Sounion in the evening for a scenic coastal drive and sunset visit to the Temple of Poseidon.

The Acropolis has limited accessibility for visitors with mobility challenges. While there is an elevator near the South Slope entrance, its operation is managed entirely by the venue and may not always be available. Baby strollers are not permitted inside the Acropolis archaeological site due to the site's uneven terrain and lack of suitable storage facilities.

Download your ticket and audio tour using Wi-Fi before your visit, as the mobile signal on Acropolis Hill can be weak or unreliable.

To get to the Acropolis, take Metro Line 2 and exit at Acropolis station. Walk along Dionysiou Areopagitou Street, and you’ll see the Theatre of Dionysus on your right.

The audio tour works on Android (5.0 or later) and iOS smartphones with 100-150 MB of free space. It is not compatible with Windows Phones, iPhone 5/5C or older, iPod Touch 5th gen or older, iPad 4th gen, or iPad Mini 1st gen.

The app and audio guides require around 200-250 MB of space on your device.

Be prepared for potential wait times as you might encounter long lines at the entrance.

The Acropolis Museum offers free admission on March 6 (Melina Mercouri Day), March 25 (National Holiday), May 18 (International Day of Museums), and October 28 (National Holiday).
