Not sure why we needed an intermediate to get our ticket. Seemed like a waste of time. Doors did not open until assigned time. No reason to be there 30 minutes early

It's a hugely impressive building and the exhibition at the end was really interesting, especially on the work involved in the design. Unfortunately I apparently accidentally booked as an EGT rather than non-EGT citizen, so basically had to pay almost the same again on the day although I'd been advised I would only pay the difference between the two rates. So it became a very expensive way to spend 45 mins on a tour with pre-recorded audio, not even an actual human guide. You can buy tickets at Parliament on the day from 7.45am at a much cheaper rate I think but without a guaranteed time, so if you're prepared to get up early and don't mind waiting around to get in then I would recommend doing that.

The tour is beautiful,I had a little difficulty with the contact person at the reception ,however in the end all resolved,recommended tour.

Hungarian Parliament Guided Tour

Present your skip-the-line ticket, conclude your security check and be guided to the main staircase of the Hungarian Parliament. Here you'll see a confluence of several staircases along with a red carpet laid on the floor. The area is lit by lampposts and intricately-built statues overlooking the space. You'll make your way to the Dome Hall that has a characteristic geometric ceiling and windows. Here, the famous Crown Jewels are housed - returned to Hungary only a few decades ago by the United States. Your tour guide will lead you to the Old Upper House Hall, also known as the House of Magnates. You'll notice the architecture in the hall is almost cathedral-like, lending sacredness with its arches, vaults, and pillars.

The guided route is subject to change based on the Hungarian National Assembly schedule or other state events.
The duration of the guided tour is inclusive of the security check.
Large bags, packages, or objects capable of causing personal injury, such as pocket knives, knives, gas spray, etc. are not permitted inside.
For security reasons, you will not be allowed to stay in the Parliament after the tour.
The entrance for Parliament visitors is at Gate XII (not at Gate X).
The guided tour is available in English, Spanish, Italian, German, French, and Russian.
