Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel Skip-the-Line Entry Ticket

What to bring

• Bring a valid photo ID that matches the name on your ticket, as tickets with incorrect names are invalid and non-refundable.
• Wear clothing that covers your knees and shoulders, as a dress code is strictly enforced for both men and women; shorts and sleeveless tops are not permitted.

What's not allowed

• Food and drinks are not permitted inside the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel.
• Tips, hotel pickup and drop off, and guide or audio guide services are not included with your ticket.
• Infants must not sit on laps, and infant seats are not available.
• All visitors must pass through airport-style security, and wait times at security can exceed 30 minutes.

Accessibility

• Not wheelchair accessible due to the route inside the Vatican Museums.
• Strollers and prams are accessible throughout the experience.

Additional information

• Tickets must be collected at Vicolo del Farinone 23, Rome. From Ottaviano metro station (Line A), walk along Via Ottaviano towards Piazza Risorgimento, turn right onto Via di Porta Angelica, enter Piazza San Pietro, then take the first left into Vicolo del Farinone; number 23 is on the left.
• Children aged 0 to 6 years enter free of charge.
• Disabled visitors with valid ID and a disability card showing over 74% disability can enter freely.
• From January 12 to March 31, maintenance work in the Sistine Chapel will result in scaffolding covering the entire wall.
• On January 3 and 9, 2026, the Sistine Chapel closes at 2:00pm (last entry at 1:00pm); on January 10, 2026, it closes at 12:00pm (last entry at 11:00am).
• Animals and pets are allowed, and public transportation is available nearby.
