I've wanted to visit Florence for a long while. I'm not a lover of Art but I thoroughly enjoyed visiting the Uffizi. Be prepared however to spend a good chunk of time in there, it's got a lot to see and there's plenty of ground to cover. The Galleria main attraction is Michaelangelo 'David', but there are many more amazing sculptures to see, and plenty of paintings too. Also you can see everything in detail within a steady hour. My favourite visit was definitely the Duomo. If you want to visit the cathedral be aware that covering your shoulders is a requirement, and maybe your knees too. I'm not a religious person but I was in awe of the size and beauty inside. The climb to the top of the Duomo is the main attraction, however be warned if you have a problem climbing stairs then maybe avoid the climb. I'm a fit, younger man, who walks for a living, and I found it hard going, especially the higher up I got. There is no lift (elevator), so if you can't make it up, you will have to come back down. For those who do make it up though, the views are amazing, and worth the effort.

Das Ticket soll in der App angezeigt werden. also muss man die dann installieren. Da wird es aber nicht angezeigt. Ein pdf mit WR Code zu bekommen, wäre sehr hilfreich. Ich habe nur das ticket bekommen, da ein netter Controlouer mich an eine person verwies und wusste, dass vor lindt in florenz entsprechende Personen stehen.

La guia fue muy buena. De Florencia y con una gran pasión por lo que hace. Pudimos entender mejor el significado del Duomo, cómo evolucionó la catedral en los 600 años que tardó en construirse y la aplicación de las matemáticas en su construcción 👏🏻👏🏻

The package was a bit overpriced compared to packages you could purchase there but it was skip the line which was nice. Confusion with package good for 3 days but no way to get tickets before our scheduled Duomo climb at 4:30 in afternoon. Lost a day of touring. Tour guide was a bit non- personable. Tried to clear things up online but just dealing with AI....frustrating. Not easiest to use. Was able to use tickets for other attractions after Duomo climb but was leaving Florence in a day.

Le point de rencontre avec la personne responsable était facile à trouver. La personne nous a donné nos billets imprimés et nous a donné des consignes claires. Nous avons pu visiter le dôme, la crypte, le baptistère, le campanile et le musée. Nous avons pu le faire à notre rythme, en prenant des pauses entre chaque visite. Il y avait aussi le service de consigne pour les sacs à dos qui est inclus. Nous avions pris l'audio guide et c'était génial. Avec 3 adolescents ce n'était ni trop long ni trop ennuyant. Les commentaires de la visite guidée étaient pertinents et intéressants, nous permettant ainsi d'en apprendre davantage sur ce qu'on visitait. Je recommande fortement. Seul petit bémol, on aurait aimé avoir été mieux informés du code vestimentaire à respecter pour entrer dans la cathédrale (épaules recouvertes, shorts et jupes aux genoux).

Vlotte annulatie. Ik kan eerlijk gezegd inhoudelijk niets over deze ervaring schrijven, want ik annuleerde uit vrees onwel te worden bij het beklimmen van de trappen bij erg hoge temperaturen. Aangezien de hitte pas duidelijk was op het moment dat we al in Firenze waren, annuleerde ik pas laat, maar binnen de termijn. Dit werd meteen aanvaard en snel terugbetaald. Alle lof daarvoor! ik heb bij andere aanbieders wel moeilijkheden ondervonden.

Firstly, the visit was very well organised so no stress, all meet-up descriptions etc were clear and worked as described. The highlight by far is the walk up the dome which you have to do in the allotted time, with three days to do the rest. The dome is much higher than it looks from the ground and as such there is a significant climb to do in quite tight areas, but if you are able to do it, the views are spectacular. I'm also a bit of a geek so I really enjoyed the detail on how this magnificent beast of a building was constructed, really impressive. Would I recommend this, yes with conditions as whilst it's definitely worth doing but I don't think it represents good value for money. Almost £250 for my family (2 adults and 3 children) is excessive. I understand a level of markup against tickets direct from the venue (which you need to book miles out, presumably because all the resellers get in first) but the level of markup felt excessive in my opinion.

What’s not allowed

Large bags and backpacks are not allowed inside the Complex. Please remember that there are no cloakrooms at the site.

Flash photography, tripods, filming equipment, food, and drinks are not permitted inside the Cathedral.

Pets (except service animals) are also prohibited.

Children under the age of 7 are not allowed to climb the Dome or the Bell Tower. Those between the age of 7-14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Accessibility

An accessible entrance is located on the right side of the Cathedral for guests with motor disabilities. The dome climb is not suitable for wheelchair users or people with motor disabilities.

Additional Information

The fee is only for the audio guide, since Cathedral entry is free.

The Cathedral is open to visitors from Monday to Saturday, 10:15am to 3:45pm. It remains closed on Sundays and during religious celebrations.

Entry is subject to a security check and dress code compliance (knees and shoulders must be covered. Sleeveless tops, short, and other revealing clothing are forbidden).

Download the audio guide to your phone before your visit. Mobile network access may be limited inside the Cathedral.

The complex’s staircases are narrow and steep, expect a physically demanding climb.
