Day Trips from Cape Town

Our experience using the Table Mountain Cable Car was exceptional! We booked our tickets online with ease, and the fact that the tickets are valid for a week is fantastic, especially when weather conditions can affect your plans. On Tuesday, 1 September 2026, we arrived at the cable car station and found parking easily. The walk to the cable car was pleasant, and we were greeted by friendly, welcoming staff. There was no queue, which made the experience even better. The cable car ride up was amazing, with magnificent views. At the top, we enjoyed walking around the mountain and taking in the spectacular scenery. The bathrooms were very clean, and we also bought some items at the shop and enjoyed them at the tables while taking in the views. After about two hours, we headed down again. We always felt safe and well looked after throughout the experience. Highlight was that the tour guide was an ex prisoner and shared his personal story. Only negative, felt rushed once the guided tour was over to get back to the ferries.
