Getting started

Arrive at the farming cooperative in the Rhamna countryside, about 16 km from the Marrakech stadium, after arranging your own transport from the city. Join your standard group class and meet the women of the cooperative who will lead the guided cooking workshop. Once you are introduced and settled, you move straight into the hands-on session.

This experience takes place at a women’s farming cooperative in the Rhamna countryside, an easy drive from Marrakech. You spend your time on the farm itself, moving between the yard and the kitchen as you follow your dish from raw ingredients to the shared table.

Features

• Work directly with what the farm itself produces, from the yard to the pot, seeing where your ingredients grow before preparing them in the kitchen. You follow the dish through every stage, from preparation to the table, so each step from washing to cooking is part of your workshop.
• Take part in a fully guided cooking workshop, led by the women of the cooperative, who show you their methods as you cook alongside them in a standard group class format. Their step-by-step guidance keeps the focus on practical techniques you can repeat at home.
• Use all ingredients and equipment provided on site, so you do not need to bring anything for the class. Everything required to prepare the meal you cook, from utensils to produce, is included for you.
• Sit down at the end to eat the meal you prepare together with the cooperative, turning the class into a shared lunch on the farm. Water and mint tea are served with the meal, giving you a simple, refreshing pairing with your freshly cooked dishes.
• During and after the session, souvenir photos are taken so you can remember cooking with the women of the cooperative. Transport to and from the cooperative, any personal expenses, and any gratuities are not included, so plan those separately.
