Review of Castelo de São Jorge Castelo de São Jorge in Lisbon is definitely worth a visit. The castle is perched atop a hill and offers a stunning view of the city, the Tagus River, and the surrounding neighborhoods. The ancient walls and towers give you a good sense of Lisbon’s history. It’s fun to walk around and explore different parts of the castle. I found the view from the castle walls particularly impressive. It can get crowded, and the admission fee isn’t cheap. Still, I think it’s a beautiful attraction that you should definitely include in your visit to Lisbon. I give the castle 4 out of 5 stars.

We went as a family of 4 and entry was straightforward with no issues. Was not too busy and was easy to get around without feeling rushed. Great views and interesting history would recommend the visit.

San Jorge offers beautiful scenery and a sweeping view of all of Lisbon. Lisbon Cathedral is just like any other cathedral. Personally, it didn't really impress me that much.

The process was very smooth and easy to use at the gate. No issues at all! A lot more efficient too because you didnt have to wait in the tickets line at the entrance..

Skip-the-line tickets. Thanks to the tickets, we were able to go straight into the park. A beautiful, pleasant, shaded park with a splendid view of Lisbon.

We really enjoyed the castle but unfortunately it was cut short as we accidentally walked out the exit gate and quickly realised we walked out as we walked back in a man who worked there told us we couldn't go back in I offered to show me tickets incase he thought we where trying to sneak in but he seen us walk out and quickly turn back around and he would not let us back in we were very disappointed as we still wanted to look around and sit down and eat some food and have a drink
    • Get a birds-eye view of the entire city from St. George’s Castle. Make sure to look through the camera obscura!

    • Admire exquisite artwork and the remains of 11th-century Islamic architecture at the castle. Wander the gardens and maybe run into a peacock or two.

    • With your included Lisbon Card, visit sites like the Mafra National Palace and Belém Tower, with unlimited access to public transport. Click here to see all the benefits.

    • Choose from a flexible 24, 48, or 72-hr card depending on your itinerary.

    • Fun Fact: There is a small door on the northern wall of the Castle called the 'Door of Treason' that once allowed secret messengers to enter or exit as needed.
