Since I arrived at the museum I knew it would be a great experience. Line was fast, staff was so nice. I travel all over from Mexico cause my aunt dream was visit Egypt and the GEM; she was so happy too, we spent 5:30hrs hours admiring everything, she was so delighted. I wish we've stayed a little bit more to admire every single detail, it was so enjoyable. She was so happy at the end of the day. Thanks for this amazing experience. I hope to come back soon.

The Egyptian Museum (the old museum) is truly beautiful with its historic charm and is still filled with stunning treasures that span the entire era of the Pharaohs. My son insisted on going because it covers everything he’s learning in elementary school. It’s an absolute must-see, along with the Pyramids and GEM. It’s very convenient to purchase tickets online. There is no Wi-Fi available for those who might need it.

In my opinion, the skip-the-line tickets for these two attractions are practically useless. There’s no line at the museum entrance, and you have to wait in line for the pyramid anyway. That said, the museum is truly beautiful and definitely worth a visit. For the pyramid tour, I chose the Great Pyramid (Khufu), but after a grueling climb, you simply end up in an empty “room,” so if I had to choose again, I’d opt for the other two pyramids.

To participate in the Discovery Challenge, participants must have a smartphone to play. Children under 12 years need to be accompanied by a guest above 16 years.

The Discovery Challenge takes place daily at 12pm, 2pm, and 4pm, with an additional slot on Saturdays and Wednesdays at 6pm. The starting point is at the information desk in the Grand Hall.

Regular hours (except Saturday and Wednesday): The GEM Complex is open from 8:30am to 7pm, Galleries from 9am to 6pm, with last entry at 5pm.

Saturday and Wednesday: The GEM Complex operates from 8:30am to 10pm, Galleries from 9am to 9pm, with last entry at 8pm.
