The Grand Egyptian Museum is genuinely breathtaking. From the moment you arrive, the scale, light, and architecture feel monumental yet elegant. Seeing Egypt’s history displayed with such care and modern storytelling is unreal — it finally matches the greatness of the civilization itself. The galleries flow beautifully, the design is world-class, and the views of the pyramids are just wow. It feels like Egypt stepping confidently into the future while honoring its past. A must-see, even if you think you’ve “done” museums before.

It is very informative and amazing to put together the history that people have almost forgotten. The highlight for me was how the security helped us. After 1 1/2 hours of moving around, I noticed that my husband does not have his bag. He just remembered that he may have forgotten it in one of the security entries. Thank God, he returned with the bag, with all our passports and cards. He said that when the lady managing the scanner saw the bag that was left, she handed it over immediately to the security.

We thought the museum was incredible Very well laid out and clear explanations A great day out and we learnt a lot The only difficulty was that we booked and paid for 2tickets on line for November 18th However, I was unable to download the QR code on my phone and despite the receipt was clearly on my phone, I had to buy 2 more tickets We tried to have a refund for the original tickets but were unsuccessful

A MUST for Egypt fans. Very well designed architecture for wheelchair users and baby carriages. Despite the large number of people, there are always opportunities to retreat with a view of the pyramids to pause for a moment and sit down Great!

The museum itself is absolutely breathtaking. The artifacts feel as if they come from another dimension, the architecture is magnificent, and the interior spatial design is truly impressive. The layout and distribution of the galleries are exceptionally well planned. This experience alone is worth traveling from another country. However… After visiting the Pyramids, we wanted to go to the museum. For a distance of only about 3 km, taxi drivers asked for more than 1,000 EGP. Even with Uber, we had to pay a surprisingly high fare for what should have been a very short and inexpensive ride. When we arrived at the museum, the real problem began. We were informed that tickets can only be purchased online. I explained to the ticket office staff that I had installed a local SIM card upon arriving in Egypt, and that my bank requires an SMS verification code sent to my original number to complete a credit card payment. Since I couldn’t change the SIM card on my phone, I was unable to proceed. Despite this, I was told that there was no alternative to online ticketing. It was truly frustrating: I had traveled from another country, was standing right in front of the museum, yet I couldn’t buy a ticket. My sincere message to the authorities: Please consider installing at least one ticket vending machine for tourists who may face similar issues. I eventually managed to enter the museum after nearly two hours, but such an experience should not turn into an unnecessary hardship for visitors to a museum of this scale and importance.
