Amazing big catacombs from the first Christians which buried about 300 thousands Christians. It shows how brave they were through difficult times and reminding us who are Catholic to focusing on our purposes of life and our destination is Eternal life in Heaven. The tour provides a very interesting insight into the difficult living conditions of the first Christians in Rome and how the dead were buried secretly deep underground. The story of the young Santa Cecilia was especially moving and unforgettable.

Despite the sweltering heat and the huge crowds of tourists and organized tour groups, we made our way through the kitchen area without any problems and arrived right on time; the staff was friendly and helpful.

Very busy as expected but the queue jumping tickets were a must. Garden tour was lovely, Sistine Chapel not as 'wow' as expected but the buildings are phenomenal. Definitely worth it.
