CoupleVerified booking2 weeks ago4/5It really is very beautiful, but I think they should limit the number of visitors allowed each day. I think there are too many people, and it gets way too hot.SSusana A
FamilyVerified bookingLast week5/5It’s well organized: they have you validate your tickets at the meeting point, where they explain the procedure. Once the entire group for your time slot is there, a guide accompanies you, showing you the way to skip the lines and explaining how to tour St. Peter’s. They take you right up to the entrance to the dome and leave you there. This ticket option is very convenient, since there are long lines for everything and it can be confusing to figure out how to get to the different sites. The staff was friendly, and they gave each of us a free bottle of water at the start of the tour. Our guide was Nikita.MMaria S

FamilyVerified bookingLast week5/5A truly wonderful tour, revisited after a whopping 39 years! The catacombs have always held a very special charm—a place of faith, yet also steeped in history. The only downside is that, just like back then, we weren’t able to visit the third and fourth underground levels. It would be wonderful to see them in the future to get a complete picture of the entire historical period during which they were used.HHassanali G

Traverse the tunnels and witness the resting places of popes, martyrs, and other historical figures. With an expert guide, learn all the unknown stories about its history.
St. John Lateran

Walk through the church where the Pope lived up to the XIV century, the Cloister housing stunning gilded marble columns, and right behind the church is the Baptistery featuring the grand dome and artworks by Andrea Sacchi and Luigi Valadier. Access the Holy Stairs that Jesus climbed during his trial with Pontius Pilate. Don’t miss out on the Sancta Sanctorum chapel, donned with an ancient image of Jesus clutching the New Testament.
