At first, we had a hard time finding the meeting point; we didn't locate the spot very well. Then, Hilaria, our guide—an expert not only in Renaissance art but in other periods of art history, politics, etc. She was wonderful! In both the Uffizi Gallery and the Accademia, choosing what to see was logical, since it was three (3) hours in total. She introduced details in the selected paintings and sculptures, as well as highly valuable architectural details in the buildings. Even though I don't gain anything from it, this review is worth writing for the guide's great work. She also carried photos in a folder, just in case we couldn't make out some elements from a distance, especially when crowds gathered or the artwork was displayed in a place that was hard to see. I would have liked several three-hour guided tours.

The guide—whose name, if I recall correctly, was Laura—gave us a very clear explanation of the most significant works in the Uffizi Gallery, offering fascinating and interesting insights that captured the attention of the entire group, from the youngest to the oldest.

Great way to see the sights and get out at what takes your fancy. Two comprehensive circuits of the city, including up to Fiesole, which was nice. Just watch out as some of the earphone sockets do not work.

Seeing Florence as it is from the street level. Architectural beauty, people, topography, traffic. It was great to hear about it's history via the audio headsets too. However traffic noise and delays did affect our enjoyment of the event.
