Absolutely great public transport network... subway, tram, and bus. The car stayed in the garage the whole time and we were able to do everything using public transit. Booking the tickets online was just as easy. We'll be back!

We didn't really benefit much from the discounts, since we could also use the senior discount, which was even better. It was nice not to have to worry about buying tickets, and we also used the transit pass all the way out to the outlying areas.

Exploring Vienna made easier with public transport

With the Vienna City Card, you can move around the city using public transport without worrying about juggling separate tickets. Depending on the option you choose, you get 1/2/3/7 calendar days of access on Vienna’s trams, buses, S-bahn and metro.

Seamless activation

After purchasing a Vienna City Card, you will receive an 8-digit activation code in your order confirmation.

Use this code on the ivie app, the official city guide app by Vienna Tourism, to activate your Vienna City Card.

Use the pass to get discounts at major attractions and check top sights off your bucket list.

Validity:

Activated: Your card is valid for the 1/2/3/7 consecutive days selected during booking.

Non-activated: Your card is valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.

Additional information

Free child or dog: One child up to 15 years or one dog can travel free with one adult Vienna City Card.

Pass duration: Each pass is valid for the duration selected from the first time you use it.

Discount validity: Discounts are valid for up to 7 days, depending on the pass purchased.

Your voucher will be emailed to you shortly.
