It was an unforgettable experience. I received the tickets as a birthday gift, since I’d always wanted them—I love the music so much, and it reminds me of a wonderful time in my training when that song meant a lot to me. I was worried that my high expectations wouldn’t be met. But that wasn’t the case. Pure goosebumps. Really great. Top-notch acrobatics wrapped up in an atmospheric story. And the music. 10/10

The show was very good and well-organized, but unfortunately the information about parking was insufficient, and the prices for drinks and food were outrageous. The ticket prices were just about acceptable because the performers themselves were very good... that's my personal opinion.

The story

Set in a kingdom that has lost its ruler, Alegría follows the tension between an entrenched old guard and a rising movement seeking renewal. Characters, including the jester, the aristocrats, and the street youth, shape a world caught between decay and possibility. Through acrobatics, live music, and evolving circus tableaux, the story explores how power shifts and how hope resurfaces. As change gathers force, the question becomes whether the old world will hold, or whether a new one is ready to break through.

Last week
The performers’ acts were very good, but considering the show lasted about two hours, they were far too short. There are too many filler acts by the clowns, which eventually become boring. On top of that, there’s a 25-minute intermission. There were six of us at the show, and we had excellent seats—upstairs in the middle—so we had the best possible conditions. However, the quality of the seating is simply a complete disaster—far too cramped for adults, unless you have the build of a ten-year-old child. Given that, the price of €182.00 per person is simply unreasonable. Considering the price, it was somewhat disappointing.

Given the ticket category we chose (just under €200), I had every right to expect an unobstructed view of the entire stage. Unfortunately, the edge of the revolving stage and the entire axis toward the opposite side were blocked by one of the tent supports, so I couldn’t enjoy large parts of the show without significant limitations. This price is never justified given the quality of the experience. The show (what I could see of it) was okay—the surrounding conditions (way too long lines at the restrooms... all outdoors with no shelter for those waiting; the €9 bratwurst in a soggy bun is more like Cirque du Kreisklasse).
