All in all, it was an outstanding evening. We’d been worried beforehand about getting there and finding parking, but we actually arrived 90 minutes before the event started. No problems with parking, and the organization for leaving after the event was great. The staff at the entrance and in the service area were nice and friendly; they kept their cool and stayed on top of things. Upon entering the main tent, the spacious and stunning stage design was impressive. The flexible, rotating, and divisible stage is surprising. The show and the performers are magnificent. I could single out individuals now, but I won’t. The entire ensemble—including, of course, the musicians—is simply enchanting and transports the audience, if they so choose, to another world—magic. Acrobatics, music, the singers’ unique voices—all so perfectly harmonized. It was a true joy, and we were still raving about the evening on the drive home after the show. The prices for drinks, snacks, and souvenirs are very high, but they couldn’t detract from the wonderful evening we were able to experience at Cirque du Soleil. We’ll be back. Allegria was a fantastic experience with an extraordinary concept in every way. The live music provided the backdrop for a story full of magic and beauty, but also suspense. The performers exuded presence and grace, strength, and personality. The artists’ choreography was perfectly timed down to the second, yet performed with effortless ease. The aerialists, in particular, were indescribably virtuosic, but the fire artists were also impressive. The clowns managed to connect with the audience in a universal way during the short interludes. Not to be forgotten are the beautiful and innovatively elaborate costumes, the fantastic lighting, and the stage design, which was reconfigured for every scene and is a masterpiece of engineering. Every moment counted. In the finale, the aerial artists formed a circle of the sun. A beautiful image. Cirque du Soleil remains unbeatable in poetry, aesthetics, and outstanding acrobatics. The artists, the costumes, and the atmosphere are unparalleled. We are grateful that we were able to see it so close to home. ☀️

I was really surprised to find free parking and such plenty of parking spaces. That made the trip there very pleasant. The entrance/security check went quickly. I was shocked by the prices—I thought €9 for a sausage was outrageous. It’s a shame there weren’t more seats in the outdoor area. I thought the organization was great. There were lots of staff members, all very friendly and helpful. The organization inside the tent with the ushers was great. The performance was wonderful and very well choreographed. We really enjoyed it. It’s amazing what great artists and acrobats there are ❤️. We also really liked the live music and the teamwork of the whole crew. All in all, an unforgettable experience. First of all, the location—much easier to reach by bus and/or train. Then there’s the combination of music and sound, and the seamless transitions into the various artistic performances. We also really liked the idea of incorporating elements from the musical *Wicked*; it made the show a delight for children in particular, without ever feeling intimidating. Then, of course, the phenomenal performances by the artists—significantly better than in the first Allegria show!! The standing ovation at the end of the show only ended when the artists left the stage!! The performance and content of the two clowns were a delight and will remain in the memories of people of all ages. Summa cum laude!!

Seeing Cirque du Soleil’s *Alegria* was a wonderful and fantastic experience. I had wanted to see the show back when it first opened in the 1990s, but unfortunately didn’t have the time. Now that I’m retired, I’ve finally managed to go, and I’m deeply moved and thrilled by the performance. The acrobats and their performances were magnificent. I really enjoyed the music, and the song “Alegria” in particular touched me deeply; I felt both sad and happy at the same time (even though I didn’t understand the lyrics due to my lack of language skills). All in all, the visit was worth every penny.

An outstanding performance. The clowning could use some trimming—it was too drawn-out!! The atmosphere was lovely, as always. Our seats, M1 and M2, had severely obstructed views because of the people sitting in front of us!! Not good for such expensive seats!! Unfortunately, there were no CDs of the great music available for purchase. I would have liked to buy the vinyl record for the 40th anniversary, but unfortunately I discovered it too late. Is it still possible to purchase this somewhere later on?? Otherwise, keep up the good work—my wife in particular really enjoyed it, since it was related to her birthday. We saw the first version of *Alegria* in Düsseldorf back in 1994!!!

The story

Set in a kingdom that has lost its ruler, Alegría follows the tension between an entrenched old guard and a rising movement seeking renewal. Through acrobatics, live music, and evolving circus tableaux, the story explores how power shifts and how hope resurfaces. As change gathers force, the question becomes whether the old world will hold, or whether a new one is ready to break through.

My daughter and I went to see Cirque du Soleil: Alegría for a mommy-daughter date night, and it turned out to be one of the most unforgettable experiences we’ve ever shared. From the moment the show began, we were completely captivated. Every performance was beyond impressive — the talent, precision, and artistry left us speechless. My favorite parts were the incredible singing, breathtaking acrobatics, and the trapeze performances that had us literally on the edge of our seats. There were moments that genuinely made us tear up, even my daughter, because we became so invested in the performance. The music, costumes, and atmosphere were absolutely magical. All in all, it was amazing. It’s easy to book and pay for your seat through the app. There’s plenty of parking on site, and staff members are everywhere—they’re all extremely friendly and helpful. Before the show, snacks, drinks, and promotional items are available. The restrooms are also clean and plentiful. The performers and the visuals of the show are a dream. It’s like a fairy tale. The event and the atmosphere are always an unforgettable experience. Before the official start, I missed the warm-up, where the artists walk through the crowd. The second half was much better. I have to criticize the prices for food and drinks (a bratwurst for €9!!)
