The hotel was fine, with very friendly and helpful staff. However, the wait in line to finally get a table for breakfast was ridiculous! 4 penalty points for that! The Lion King was okay, but unfortunately we had to explain too many scenes to the kids, even though they already know the movie. Furthermore, many of the songs that define the film barely came into their own. Huge praise for the costumes and the staging, though! Value for money was not satisfactory! Chocoversum with our guide Tessa was fantastic! Hagenbeck Zoo was super once again! The 2-hour harbor cruise on the "Kleine Fritzchen" comes highly recommended! We laughed a lot! Regarding restaurants in Hamburg, from Vietnamese and burgers to sushi, the Google reviews are spot on! The U-Bahn and S-Bahn are very safe and clean, big shout-out to the helpful security staff! The locals in Hamburg were, as on previous trips, friendly, helpful, and courteous across the board! Yes, we will definitely be back!

An absolute recommendation for anyone who loves chocolate! A wonderfully guided tour packed with interesting and useful information about cocoa, sustainable farming/distribution, and chocolate. The tour is also great for kids since it's very engaging and you get to taste the different stages of chocolate making at many stations. The highlight, of course, is your very own chocolate bar, which you can decorate to your heart's content.

Very beautiful route in the Port of Hamburg. It was very impressive to get so close to those huge container ships! Unfortunately, I didn't understand much of the guide's commentary, as he spoke very, very fast in German, but he really seemed to put a lot of energy into keeping the passengers well-informed.
