Cairns was the most heart warming trip down memory lane. Fifty years ago my family lived in Cairns and lived on Fitzroy Island when my parents were caretakers. This was my first time "home" to revisit the Kuranda Train, Hartley's Creek, and Fitzroy. I loved every moment, grounding me to my blissful childhood memories!

The Cairns Aquarium was beautifully maintained, and it was such a wonderful experience to relax in a comfortable lounge chair while watching the fish gracefully swim by. We book for the day before by mistake but the young lady at the front was exceptional in her handling of out error. She let us in and helped us so much. Brilliant. Also the standard of the experience wes supurb. The man at the touch tank was extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

Getting started

Head to the main entrance and show your mobile or printed ticket. Staff will scan your ticket and provide the day’s presentation schedule. Lockers are available for a small fee. The aquarium is fully accessible, with ramps, elevators, and facilities for strollers and wheelchairs.
