At this 300-year-old winery, Burmester Cellars, partake in a specially curated Porto wine-tasting experience with delectable food pairings.

Visit the Burmester Wine Cellars, in Vila Nova de Gaia, and explore port wine’s history.

Take a tour of the cellar with an English, French, Italian, Spanish & Portuguese-speaking guide and admire the stunning views of the Luiz I bridge.

Taste signature port wines including Colheita 2009 and 10 & 20 year-old Tawny and learn about the region’s wine culture.

Begin your tour by exploring the wine cellars at Burmester, Vila Nova de Gaia. The wine cellar is nestled near the Douro river at the bottom deck of Luiz I Bridge. As you stroll through the cellars, get transported to the 1750s, when the place was first established. Learn more about its 300 years rich history from your English-speaking professional guide.

Wine Tasting with Food Pairings

The experience offers multiple options and depending on the ticket of your choice, sample either 2 or 3 signature port wines. Go fancy with a premium ticket and indulge in the sinful 10-year old Tawny, 20-year old Tawny and Colheita 2009. The tasting also includes food pairings such as decadent chocolate, gourmet cheese and crunchy dry fruits.

The wine-tasting experience is restricted for guests aged 18 and under.
