The Leonardo Express was a great way to get to the centre of Rome from Fiunicino airport. I was a little concerned about having to specify exactly what time train we would catch as its difficult to gauge how long it will take to get through passport control and baggage reclaim. Fortunatley the e-ticket booking system allows you to change the time so long as you do it before your booked service has departed. I made use of this feature to catch an earlier train than originally booked. You can buy your ticket on the day at the train station but there were crowds at the ticket machines. I'd use this service again when travelling to Rome.

I love the Leonardo Exoress as it is the most sensible way to travel from Fiumicino . It is also my link to the rest of Europe. 👌My husband and I are Australian and we always used the Leonardo Express to come into Rome city, from the time when we first discovered it, In early 2000s. Rome Termini became like our 'local' railway station to the rest of Europe. Now that Ternini has added so many excellent extra shops/ outlets Food Court Fashionista and multiple food outlets, it is even better for tourists. It is my favourite memory place in Rome.

The train runs frequently amd from same platform, was clean, punctual and has power outlets to charge e.g. phones. Sufficient seats and space for luggage available. I would rate 5 stars if the ticket was valid all day and not just for dedicated train connection. The train arrived the same time I arrived at the station and had to find out how to change the booking while boarding the train. The tariff seems to always be the same. Why not extending the validity to any connection the same day? This works fine in other cities.

Unfortunately my trip came to an end, fortunately though, the last part of my trip towards the airfield was very relaxed. Not crowded, or in any case, didn't feel like it might have been. Because people were helpfull, friendly and the signs directed us passengers, perfectly to the right train at the right time. As a matter of fact, it went so well, that because I was early, I could even change my trainride to an earlier and yet more convenient time, which saved me 30 minutes, which mad the flight and checkin at the airport also much more pleasant. Seats were great, long legs no problem. Room enough for suitcases and the rails were almost quiet.

The train itself is quite comfortable. But while going back from Rome to the airport, they never informed me that the train will not be functional and I need to take a bus. It was only when I personally went and checked did they inform me.

Booked the tickets online and avoided waiting at the machines. Went straight to the train and arrived at Rome central and avoided any potential traffic issues. Could charge the phone on the train as well!

    Borghese Gallery

The Borghese Gallery is situated in what used to be the Villa Borghese Pinciana. The building of the gallery was clubbed with the gardens around it at first. The gardens, however, have become a separate attraction for tourists by themselves.

Explore the vast collection of sculptures, paintings, and antiquities at your own pace, right from the start. As you enter the museum, you are likely to notice the magnificent marble sculptures of the Twelve Roman Emperors. A vast array of rare paintings adorn much of the wall. Daphne and Proserpina are intricate and expressive. You could gaze at these sculptures for days and still miss out on the finer expressive details. The rooms are rarely ever crowded due to the controlled inflow of visitors, giving you ample space to stroll around the museum and contemplate the great works of art.
