Everything was fine. When we got there they offered us a guide in Spanish although we had hired him in English and we were able to do the visit in our language and in a very small group. Phenomenal

This was good but there was not much tour inside which you can understand as it's still a functional mosque. We spent most of our time in the hippodrome outside.

Everything was very organized and you could ask a lot of questions. The mosque is well worth a visit. It's best to go during the week. There is too much going on at the weekend. The tour lasted 30 minutes. Afterwards you still had time to look at the mosque

Our guide was disinterested and unenthusiastic. He did not come to the Hagia Sofia with us because he said guides were not allowed in. There were a lot of people accompanied by guides.

Learn About the Magnificent Blue Mosque

Walk through its spacious tiled courtyard with a fountain while at the lower levels and in the interior, the mosque is lined with more than 20,000 handmade İznik style ceramic tiles, in more than fifty different tulip designs. Notice how the design becomes flamboyant with representations of flowers, fruit, and cypresses at the gallery level. Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the mosque stands tall as it holds the secrets and histories of the Ottoman Empire from the year 1616 when the mosque first opened. Adorn the floors that are covered with carpets, which are regularly replaced as they wear out. The many spacious windows confer a spacious impression. Listen to stories about how the many lamps inside the mosque were once covered with gold and gems, while one could find ostrich eggs and crystal balls in many of its glass bowls.
