You can enter the water directly from the Fair Wind II vessel using two 15 ft slides and a dive platform, adding a more playful way to get in and out of the bay.

Underwater view boxes on the catamaran let you look into the water from the deck, which is helpful if you prefer to stay on board or want to spot marine life between snorkel sessions.

The vessel is set up for comfort between swims, with shade, restrooms, and freshwater showers on board, plus storage baskets on the catamaran to keep your items dry.

Complimentary reef-safe sunscreen is available, aligning with Hawaiʻi State Parks Department rules that do not allow chemical sunscreens, so you can protect your skin while following local guidelines.

Drinking water is provided on board throughout the tour, and snacks are included on the Afternoon Family Snorkeling Cruise with Waterslides and Snacks.

On the Morning Snorkeling Cruise with Captain Cook Stop and Two Meals, a plant-based tropical breakfast and a delicious plant-based lunch are included, with gluten-free food options available upon request in advance.

Morning guests can also expect a stop at the Captain Cook Monument area as part of the route, adding another focal point to the Kealakekua Bay experience.

What to bring

Sunscreen: Use only mineral-based, reef-safe sunscreen; chemical sunscreens are not allowed.

Water flask: Bring a refillable water flask if possible, as drinking water is provided on board.

What’s not allowed

Wheelchairs: The vessels are not wheelchair accessible, so standard wheelchairs cannot be used on board.

Full-face masks: Full-face snorkel masks are not permitted on this tour.

Chemical sunscreen: Chemical sunscreens are not allowed by Hawai'i State Parks and on the vessels.

Included extras: Cocktails, beer, wine, and SNUBA are not included and are only available for purchase on board.
