Getting started

Arrive at the authentic cooking school in Barcelona and check in for your hands-on workshop. Your local bilingual, English-speaking family cooking chef-instructor introduces the session and outlines the full menu. You change into your provided apron and chef's hat, move to your workstation with all kitchen utensils ready, and get set to start preparing classic Spanish dishes together.

What to expect

Forget watching someone else do all the cooking. Here, you’re the chef. Learn to prepare a spread of Spanish and Catalan favourites, from classic tomato bread to Spanish omelette and seafood paella.

Features

• Cook a Spanish feast: Prepare five courses featuring tomato bread, Spanish omelette, chorizo in red wine, seafood paella and Catalan coca, followed by churros and chocolate. Fresh ingredients and kitchen utensils are provided.

• Learn from a local chef: Cook alongside a bilingual local chef who guides you through the recipes and techniques, helping you get hands-on with the dishes rather than simply watching from the sidelines.

• Eat, drink & enjoy: Sit down to taste the meal you’ve prepared. Adults can enjoy unlimited homemade sangria throughout the experience, while children have fruit juice.

• Little chefs welcome: Children can get involved in the cooking, too, and receive a “Junior Chef” certificate to celebrate their participation.

• Take the recipes home: Your culinary adventure doesn’t have to end when class does. A digital recipe book containing all the recipes will be sent to your email after the session, so you can recreate the dishes at home.
