The Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue in Bali ranks among Indonesia's largest and most remarkable cultural landmarks. Standing 121 meters tall, it depicts the Hindu god Vishnu riding his eagle-like mount, Garuda. Be sure to visit Plaza Wisnu and Plaza Garuda, both excellent spots for watching sunsets over the Indian Ocean. One highlight is the Kecak Dance, where a chorus of men rhythmically chant “cak” to narrate the epic tale of the Ramayana, featuring the battle between Prince Rama and the demon king Ravana.
