It was a wonderful experience. Fin is what I thought "wonderful" was the right word? I don't know. But thanks to the guided tour, which allows us to understand everything, learn every detail, accompanied by the driver who follows you wherever you go, it makes this experience perfect and lightened compared to the horrors we can discover in these places...

Picked up at 7:45 a.m. , everything neat, nice and easygoing driver. Entrance to camp is at 10 actually. We continue the very touching vosita until about 12 and then move on to birkenau, at about 2 pm we return to Krakow. I recommend ik tour operator they proved to be punctual and reliable.

It was alright but I don't understand why my 7 am pick up time was moved to 5:15. We literally got there an hour before the ticket office opened and had to stand outside in the cold at 6:30 am.

The guide was helpful to make sure we found his car and knew what to do once we were at the destination.

The only major problem I had was with the departure time. It was scheduled for 5:00 a.m., and at the end of the previous day, I received a message saying it would be at 3:45 a.m. The issue is that when we arrived, we had to stand in line on the street, in the cold and without shelter. I had read a comment with the same complaint and thought it was a one-off, but it is clearly company policy.

    What to expect

This UNESCO-listed site in Oswiecim is the largest Nazi concentration and extermination camp, preserved as a powerful memorial to the victims of the Holocaust. The museum is divided into two main areas: Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II-Birkenau, each offering a sobering look at history.

    Features

    • Judenrampe: See the original camp train car at the historic unloading ramp, where prisoners first arrived at Auschwitz.

    • Auschwitz I: Explore the first camp, including prisoner barracks, Block 11 (the central prison), and the commandant’s office, which reveal the camp’s administrative and punitive functions.

    • Auschwitz II-Birkenau: Walk through the vast grounds with preserved wooden barracks, ruins of gas chambers, and kilometers of fencing, evidence of the camp’s scale and the tragedy that unfolded here.
