Going at 8 am is a game changer, we were able to experience the acropolis's with calm and peaceful atmosphere. We also didn't have to experience it through uncomfortable heat because we went at this time. By the time we finished is when the larger crowds and tour groups started rolling in. There is so much care, attention, and beauty in these historic landmarks you can see that with how well kept and maintained everything is. The museum was also great. Clearly and simply explains the significance of the artifacts preserved and I appreciated how certain pieces were "pieced" together, it really helps you visualize how the statues looked back then. The audio tour guide was also a game changer, highly recommended to anyone thinking of booking this package!

I do not put the best opinion because it was a bit of a mess the entrance time. It turns out that the page forced us to choose the time of entry to the museum. We chose the first hour so that we would not be late for the visit to the Acropolis (although we preferred to see it the other way around, first Acropolis and then museum). When we arrived at the museum at 8 o'clock it turned out that its opening time was 9 o'clock, so we went straight to the Acropolis. Then we entered the museum without any problem, but without respecting the hours marked on the page. In conclusion, the visit was great and having it bought in advance was a good idea. A Also the audio guide was super useful! I would only make it clearer that the time is not mandatory but optional, as you can enter the places whenever you want.

Visiting the Acropolis is an incredibly moving experience. There’s something unforgettable about walking on the same stones where life thrived thousands of years ago—history feels alive beneath your feet. For me, it was both humbling and fascinating, a rare chance to step back into the ancient world. If you plan to go, I highly recommend booking your tickets for 9 AM at the latest. In the early morning, you can avoid the heat and the crowds, which makes a huge difference. It allows you to explore at a slow, unhurried pace, taking in the monuments and the breathtaking views of Athens in peace. The Acropolis is not just a landmart. It’s a journey into the past, and an absolute must for anyone visiting Athens.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Ultimate Athens Experience – Skip the Lines, Maximize Your Time! Booking the Skip-the-Line Combo Pass for the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum was one of the smartest choices we made during our trip to Athens! First, it saved us a ton of time. Both the Acropolis and the museum attract huge crowds, and the regular lines—especially in the warmer months—can be overwhelming. With this combo pass, we bypassed the queues completely and went straight into both sites without hassle. It made the day so much more enjoyable and stress-free. The pass gave us access to the Acropolis Hill, including iconic landmarks like the Parthenon, Erechtheion, and Theatre of Dionysus, followed by the Acropolis Museum, which beautifully displays the artifacts in context. The combination of exploring the actual ruins and then seeing the original sculptures and treasures in the museum helped bring the entire history to life. We also loved that the pass was digital—no need to print anything, just scan and go. If you can, go early in the morning for the Acropolis to beat the heat, then cool off in the museum afterward. In short: if you're visiting Athens, this combo pass is a must. It’s convenient, efficient, and gives you the full experience of ancient Greek history without wasting time standing in line. Don’t visit without it!

The sights on both parts of the combo were breath taking. No problems with the tickets, only issues I had were a miscommuntication to me when purchasing the tickets, was originally told pickup would be at my hotel but was later told (after purchase) that had to go to a meeting point, which was an added expense to me. Headout did provide a future credit for the miscomunication on their part as they attempted to resolve the issue. Additionally, there was confusion on the first part of the combo (Acropolis) as it mentioned a meeting point, but there was no guide, we had to show the tickets at the entrance so we were standing around looking for a guide from the vendor. Only only part was the tour for Temple of Poseidon, it was not a true guided tour, they just drove us to/from the site, no tour info was really provided, but was otherwise a nice trip, just be aware this combo is more self-guided than guided.

Amazing experience! The Acropolis is rich in history and very well preserved, just beautiful to explore, learn about and admire. The views of Athens from above are also remarkable. The booking process with Headout was super quick and easy, no issues with the tickets or meeting spot. We went at the 1pm timeslot, which I usually wouldn't do as its known to be busy but we hoped in October it wouldn't be so bad - and it was alright! Definitely busy but the lines moved quickly and you still had space! The lines moved quickly (immediately started letting people in at 12.45pm) and before we knew it we were in! The audioguide of the Acropolis would've been worth the extra few euros to make it mor engaging but there are lots of informative signs around! We got lucky with sound testing at the ampitheatre too!

The acropolis was amazing, it felt surreal. We were booked in at 8am & the crowds were much better than later time slots. Baggage storage - huge issue. Unclear where to drop baggage, had to walk all around the acropolis with all our luggage. Didn't open until 8am, which means we had to go to the back of the very long entrance line. We then had to get our luggage & take it to the museum bag storage. Audio guide - due to the big crowds you had to move along at certain points & if you walked past a certain range your audio would not finish the section it was on & would skip to another section.

Getting the chance to see the iconic Parthenon and witness all the history that took place there was truly awe inspiring, I would highly recommend any fan of history, philosophy, theology and mythology to visit this amazing historical landmark. Similarly, the museum provided a great chance to see all the various historical pieces that were the corner stone of the Ancient Greek world, along with the various statues that depict multiple aspects of Greek culture. In conclusion, I would highly recommend visiting both of these locations as a combined package this is highly worth the money.

    Getting started

Your visit begins at the Acropolis, where you’ll either meet your guide at the designated entry point or start your self-guided tour with an audio guide. If you’ve chosen a guided tour, your expert will introduce the site's history before leading you through this ancient citadel.

    What to expect

    The Acropolis

Walk through the Propylaea, the grand gateway to the Acropolis, and soak in sweeping views of Athens. Explore the Parthenon, the crown jewel of classical Greece, as you learn about its construction, famous sculptures, and how it evolved over time.

Visit the Erechtheion, known for its elegant Caryatid columns, and the Temple of Athena Nike, dedicated to the goddess of victory. Your guide (or audio tour) will share the myths behind these temples, including Athena and Poseidon's legendary rivalry for Athens.

Head down to the Theater of Dionysus, the birthplace of Greek drama, where ancient playwrights once staged their works. Stop by the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, a Roman amphitheater still hosting performances today.

    Acropolis Museum (optional)

Upgrade your ticket to explore artifacts from the Acropolis, including the original Caryatids, the Parthenon Marbles, and the Frieze of the Parthenon. Visit the museum’s underground excavation, where an ancient Athenian neighborhood is preserved beneath glass floors.

    Old Town (Plaka) (optional)

Opt for an Athens Old Town audio guide to explore Plaka’s historic streets, Byzantine churches, and local tavernas while learning about the city’s evolution.
